How a leading gay activist embraces the truth

Read the story here. by Michael Glatze, former 'gay rights' leader.
Pictured: (Michael Glatze with Matthew Shepard's mother, Judy Shepard (Harvard University photo)

Young Gay America launched YGA Magazine in 2004, to pretend to provide a "virtuous counterpart" to the other newsstand media aimed at gay youth. I say "pretend" because the truth was, YGA was as damaging as anything else out there, just not overtly pornographic, so it was more "respected."

...It became clear to me, as I really thought about it – and really prayed about it – that homosexuality prevents us from finding our true self within. We cannot see the truth when we're blinded by homosexuality.
We believe, under the influence of homosexuality, that lust is not just acceptable, but a virtue. But there is no homosexual "desire" that is apart from lust.

Another example of God's amazing love Changing lives!

Hey Mark, is this guy "saved enough" to hang out with in your opinion? You know, have over for coffee, bring 'round for supper with friends etc?
Could YOU, be friends...close friends with a man who has been saved from this lifestyle?
Sobering question for all of us I think. Jesus forgives and we accept His work?

Spoke you assume a great deal about me. Perhaps it's my style, but I doubt it. I think it is your world view.

I have broken bread with, supported, and actually loved enough to proclaim the word of God at personal expense. Yes, I still should do more.

I read yga once or twice, after noticing a reference to it in a Time magazine article (I used to read Time practically religiously when I was in my first two years of high school) about gay teens. I would occasionally partake in it if I was in so rare an event that it was on the news stands. I stopped reading it, one, because it seemed to be a typical teen magazine, just with more, well, gay couples, which overall I just didn't find much more interesting than the typical seventeen magazine or teen people, two, because it's practically impossible to find in Virginia, and three, it hardly ever updates itself (6 issues.....and I remember when the first one came out, I was either in 9th or 10th grade...perhaps the new staff might produce issues at a rate that isn't so pitifully slow). Seriously, it is no different than any other teen magazine, so I'm not exactly sure what he means by this.

As for the idea that gay magazines are pornographic, I won't argue that you will be more prone to seeing shirtless men, but no more than you will see a woman in a typical entertainment magazine in a bikini or a short skirt, and, for instance, Out magazine (or at least, the two issues I have read) rarely displays any sort of titillating imagery outside of the occasional advertisement, which is still far from pornographic. (I will not mention The Advocate, which is slowly (finally) becoming less popular, partly because I believe it really does have an occasional problem with trashiness.

I am quite proud of YGA, however, for not taking a moment to slam it's former editor, who now seems to perform his public speaking on the "respectable" news site that claims to be neutral right before it gives out such headlines as "Find out what persecutors use in place of lions," "Proof Al Gore full of hot air on 'global warming'" and "1st AMENDMENT ON TRIAL." (Speaking of which, have any of these editors taken a formal writing class, or even a high school English class? This type of capitalization in a headline would receive horrid marks by any professor, and these are people that are supposed to be masquerading as respectable journalists!) Instead, while they mention him, they only say that, yes, he has decided to reject homosexuality, and that they will continue with their original goals as they rebuild, that they will keep subscribers informed as they rebuild, and a bit of positive reassurance. Quite professional, considering the circumstances.

Spoke, Mark answered your question, and although some may not believe it, I can personally vouch for him that he would have coffee and invite people over for supper--even when that person is openly gay and not a Christian.

Josiah said...

Oh, and PLEASE change the headline word to "embrace." The typo gets on my nerves to no end for some reason. >.<

You seem to assume I'm attacking you Mark. Thats the trouble with blogging...I'm not attacking you at all. I really want to discuss things on your you've done on mine.
Hypothetical questions posed for all of your readers. Would "they", hang out with a convicted, rehabilitated, rejuvenated in Jesus, forgiven child killer?
How much does the forgiving grace of Jesus, extended to others, effect us?
Do we believe his forgiveness is full and final for all who seek him?

Mark said...

Thanks josiah. I corrected it.

I am not quite sure I understand? If you are asking me would I 'hang' out with a sinner, yes. I do everyday. If your are asking specifically a convicted "child killer" who has seeked forgiviness in Christ? Maybe. Is he/she behind bars? or at my home? I'd prefer 'haginng out' with this person seperated by steel bars. Do you actually have a point you would like to make?

How much does the forgiving grace of Jesus, extended to others, effect us?

How should the grace of Jesus in others effect us? Well, first we are all the same. The effect of Christ's grace on others effects me only in the sense of a joy.

Do we believe his forgiveness is full and final for all who seek him?

If your asking me can one lose their salvation, I would say no. Are there people that are not saved? yes. Are there people who claim Christ going to Hell? yes. Do I know who they are? no.

I would recommend reading in Matthew, the wheat and tare parable.

Deb has just thrown in the proverbial "towel" over at my blog (a.k.a. not winning a discussion? then just quit!).

Doesn't surprise me one bit!

She is now officially utilizing the Truthphobia move right out of Mel White's deception playbook.

May the Holy Spirit of God open her eyes to the truth one day soon.

To My Friends Who Are Trapped In Homosexuality
By Michael Glatze

Dear friend,

Thank you for your kind comments and keen observations regarding my story and my revelation about no longer being homosexual and now being heterosexual. I thank you for the time that you have spent in considering this issue, deeply, and with great passion. God loves you.

God is right there, within you, whether you like to see Him or not. Can you humble yourself to Him? It’s a really nice feeling. I know that, in some small way, you want to. We all do. We don’t like being separated from our Father; it makes us sad and lonely, forcing us to be angry, to act out, to get vulgar… well, I won’t go on; many of you have already demonstrated, on your blog comments, exactly what I’m talking about. ☺

God loves you, Yes! He does! And, He wants you to be free from homosexuality. God made us men and women. Think about that; you could – really – be a man or a woman! Not a strange creature… but, real! That’s awesome… ☺

Change is very difficult and takes a lot of inner strength. Do you have that strength? I promise you that the Gay Identity does not exist, that it is a fabrication of mankind (look it up, if you don’t believe me), and that you are not “trapped” in same-sex-orientation. To believe that you are Gay is to be stupid. I’m sorry, if that sounds cruel; it’s not cruel. To believe that you are a false identity, created by man, unnaturally, to participate in social engineering, is to be stupid.

It’s not the acts, as much as it is the Identity. No one ever told you that, before, because they wanted to feed you with the lie that homosexuality is a set thing. Any intelligent “homosexual” knows there’s no fixed Gay Identity. If you don’t believe me, ask the theorists or “intellectuals.” ☺

Gay Identity has been packaged and fed to you, and – if you believe yourself to be “Gay” – you have eaten it, preventing you from further growth and understanding of your true and real self.

Coming out from under this packaged lie requires strong self-confidence and will and desire to know the Truth. Yes, Truth is capitalized. It is that way for a reason. There is only one Truth.

That one Truth is the fact that you are beautiful, perfect, and glorious, in the image of He who created you… God. There is only one God. I know it may be hard for you to get your head around the paradoxical nature of God… but, He is everywhere “out there” and – at the same time – right inside your soul. He sees and knows you. He loves you. ☺

He wants you to be free of homosexuality. I promise you that. He’s rooting for you; He knows you can do it. Remember, He loves you! He’s not judging you – those angry voices in your mind, planted there by Satan, might scream and judge and ridicule – but, no; He’s not judging you. He has patience. He’ll give you strength. All you have to do is pray to Him.

Prayer and love – True Love, my dear friends – requires total humility. Can you do that?

I know, in my heart, that all homosexuals desire to be free.

It is a new world, one in which the lie will not stand much longer. The tide is turning. Be not afraid! It’s a good change! Jesus will come. ☺ And, when that day happens, will you be – truly – yourself!? Or, will you be a demon, trapped in a fabrication not your own, lusting and hating and destroying your soul to hell? Consider this one last thing: all the love you may believe you feel for yourself or for someone else, while trapped in the homosexual mindset, is a grain of sand on the beach of the love that you could feel. Healing is possible. When you choose to go there, you know who to call on for help. His name is Jesus Christ.

I'd feel better if Michael Glatze would put his money where his mouth is and pay back all the money he made for years at the expense of gays and lesbians. The same goes for the editor of Venus.
"Gay Identity has been packaged and fed to you..." by none other that Michael Glatze. I think paying back his salary for 15 years of 'packaging' should be good for him. Come on Michael. Get your checkbook out...

Mark said...

You have no idea how happy your comment has made me. That can't be a good thing for you, eh?

pay back all the money he made for years at the expense of gays and lesbians.

Last I checked we live in a Free Market system. No one made anyone BUY anything Mr.Glatze put out on the market Dr Kevin. People do indeed buy shit everyday, especially teens etc..

I'd like you and your 'community' to put your money where your mouth is and offer to pay any and all legals fees to those charged with and found NOT GULITY of a hate crime. Since your so sure 'hate crimes' have nothing to with speech. Remember the right to privacy at one time NEVER included killing a child, it does now and we pay for it to boot. Hummm.

"Gay Identity has been packaged and fed to you..." by none other that Michael Glatze.

Brillant Dr Kevin! So it is TRUE one man's actions can and does speak for an entire gay community then? Don't you usually say pride parade 'sex crazy freaks' etc..? Is Mr. Glatze only your friend and speaker for an entire 'gay commuinity' only when he speaks on your behalf? and now should be 'hung on a tree" when he does not any longer? Do the words Hilter, Taliband, China Red Guard, come to mind?

Come on Michael. Get your checkbook out...

Come on Kevin, get your head out of your ass my friend.

I'd feel better if Michael Glatze...

..and we all should be concerned about 'feelings'? or is there actually more to life, morality, right and wrong, than feelings?

Tomorrow is Sunday Kevin, God gave you another day, do something more worthwhile than today and your feelings. k?

kevin said...

Hey Mark! Glad I could make you happy. And when you are happy, I am happy. Sort of.

I think you have misunderstood what I had written. A bit of my post was taken directly from what Glatze had to say. If he really feels guilty about what he did, then pay the money back he made. Plain and simple. He would feel better for it. It has nothing to do with anything else with what you had to say. He is the one who has claimed to change. Good for him, since now he will go around making money off of other people on the ex-gay circuit. We'll see how they feel when he decides God isn't enough and he renounces his change once again...

Nature gave me another day Mark. And I will feel better when he decided to do something useful with his life. Life is all about how you feel isn't it? If that weren't true, you probably wouldn't spend so much of your time dealing with the gay and lesbian community, no? Doesn't it make you feel better when you give all of your advice? :)
Have a good Sunday, Mark!

Christinewjc said...

Hi Mark,

Happy Sunday!

Kevin appears to be a man steeped in spiritual deception and delusion. he finds it "intolerable" when someone like Michael Glatze breaks free of such deceptive delusion (that Kevin obviously chooses to remain in), and speaks out against what he previously embraced. Therefore, along comes a blasphemer like Kevin to "speak abusively against whatever they [he] do [does] not understand."

Ed Hindson exposes their deception:

"The lure of false doctrine is that it presents itself as the truth. It appears as a corrective measure to established doctrine. It is propagated by those who are certain they have discovered some new revelation of truth or a better interpretation of old, established truth. Either way, they are convinced they are right and everyone else is wrong.

This is Satan's oldest trick. He appeals to our self-conceit and leads us into self-deceit."

We will pray for you to be led to salvation in Christ, Kevin.

and in the same relative world view breath...
Life is all about how you feel isn't it?

Actually Kevin my feelings have nothing to do with why I rebuke a community that you call your own.

As I have stated before, I guess I am not sure of what is ment by a homosexual community? I look at it as those who embrace, celebrate, and desire acceptance of a sexual behavior / act that is against God's word and secondly physically and spiritually destructive. It is a 'community' that wants the foundation of the traditional family destroyed. The very foundation that is the cornerstone for any society. It is the same 'community' that will make right and wrong obsolete and nothing more than a matter of opinion. The same 'community' that believes two dads is as good as a Mother and Father. A 'community' that wants a relative understanding of sexuality to replace any absolute or Godly understanding. A 'community' that reaches far beyond a freedom to work, live, and privacy. In fact, one need not have same sex attractions to even be apart of this 'community'. Morality is an opinion, not truth in this 'community'. I want nothing to do with that kind of 'community' if I can help it. The truth is absolute. The truth is in God's word. If the truth conforms to reality, then Christ certainly did just that!

Christinewjc said...

You certainly posted a true and accurate evaluation of that 'community' Mark.

Conforming to the wisdom and knowledge of Christ and that which is in accord with God's revealed truth in Scripture doesn't seem to be in the gay christian movement vocabulary, either.

According to Matthew, Judas returned the gold he had earned from betraying Jesus to the priests as soon as he realized that what he had done was wrong. As despicable a character Judas was, even he realized you should not keep something if you believe you obtained it through sinful means. Why should Mr. Glatze be any different?

Mark said...

Why should Mr. Glatze be any different?

The same reason while driving a car and looking in the rear view mirror more than the road ahead will cause a crash.

It is quite interesting Chase, you all of a sudden know the difference between sin and holiness. Things that make you go hummm....

btw Judas is in hell. If 'you' or I die today do you actually think us 'feeling' bad about being in hell will rescue anyone? Do you think watching Jesus raise a dead man changed his heart? No, it did not. He hated the love of Christ! It made him sick to his stomach. Judas was more concerned with his feelings of Right and Wrong, even face to face with our Lord in flesh. That Chase, should make you think.
