The cup of Christ

Luke 22:42 "Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done."

What was in this cup Jesus wanted removed from Him?

Was it the beatings, the spit in the face, the crown of thorns being thrust into His sinless flesh? Was it the sudden fists to His face, the scourging with whips, or the cross he would be nailed to? Was it the mocking or the humiliation? Was it the physical pain He would endure?

Absolutely Not! Any other teaching is pure blasphemy. Many sin filled people today and those who walked and talked with Jesus in the flesh, took on such worldly suffering with joy!

The cup contained the perfect justice and the fullness of God's wrath for our sins, once and for all!

Think about this the next time you want to reduce God's holiness, excuse your sin and rebellion to God, pervert His perfect word, or reduce it to a man made standard of holiness.

My warning to all so called followers of Christ:
Don't be the body, the false disciple, the flesh and or worldly motivated hand at the table of Jesus Christ.

Luke 22:19-21: 19 And when He had taken some bread and given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying, "This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me."
20 And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, "This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood.
21 "But behold, the hand of the one betraying Me is with Mine on the table.

Let us testify and bear witness to God who became human flesh and dwelt among us. Let us do so with joy and the perfect eternal security we have in Christ Jesus, no matter what our circumstances.

No compromise, then and now.

Marin Luther:
"Here is lack of understanding, for understanding proves by the Word that such patchwork is not according to God's will, but that doctrine, faith and worship must be preserved pure and unadulterated; there must be no mingling with human nonsense, human opinions or wisdom."
2 Corinthians 6:14-17 (NASB)
14 Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness?
15 Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever?
16 Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, "I WILL DWELL IN THEM AND WALK AMONG THEM; AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE. 17 "Therefore, COME OUT FROM THEIR MIDST AND BE SEPARATE," says the Lord. "AND DO NOT TOUCH WHAT IS UNCLEAN; And I will welcome you.
May we continue to grow and learn together, but may we never compromise the authority of God's word.
1 Timothy 6:20-21 (NASB)
20 Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to you, avoiding worldly and empty chatter and the opposing arguments of what is falsely called “knowledge”–
21 which some have professed and thus gone astray from the faith Grace be with you.

Revealed: 'Gay' plans to target 2-year-olds
5th-grade students could be handed 'Coping With Sexual Orientation'

Children as young as two years of age are in the bull's-eye of coming changes in California's school curriculum, which "gay rights" advocates now admit will alter the very foundation of information presented to public school classrooms.

A list of school resources, sponsored by a homosexual-advocacy group called Safe Schools Coalition, suggests that for those who are only two years old, there's "Felicia's Favorite Story," which tells how she was "adopted by her two mothers."

The list also promotes a book called "Are You a Girl or a Boy?" by Karleen Jiminez, a resource for children ages 4-8 when advocating homosexuality, bisexuality, transgenderism and other alternative lifestyle choices.

Same sex relationships: new and pleasing in God's sight!

Pastor David has and an eight part commentary on homosexuality. His last concluding remarks of Homosexuality #8 is:

My personal position on this—which a critical and dispassionate assessment of scripture indicates—is that the issue is not of central importance. But weaseling out of expressing my opinion would be annoying, so I’ll spit it out. I’m convinced that those who want to set aside the historically dysfunctional and solipsistic homosexual lifestyle and live instead in partnered, covenanted same-sex relationships are doing something new, and that that new thing that is pleasing in God’s sight. That position is drawn from my own observations of partnered gays and lesbians working in ministry. It is reinforced by my wholistic approach to scripture, which places greater emphasis on the central principles it teaches and the Spirit that fills it. (Bold mine).

The Rev David Williams leads the Trinity Presbyterian Church of Bethesda, MD.
I do believe he is sincere in seeking God's truth, but I also know, not believe, he is in error. There is nothing 'pleasing' in God's sight about homosexual relationships. No translational or intellectual gymnastics will replace the clarity of scripture regarding God's design and God's commands regarding sexual purity.

Genesis 2:24 For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.

Just where is the translation confusion here: (btw, a little common sense goes a long way)

Leviticus 20:13 ' If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltiness is upon them.'

Indeed, all have sinned and in need of repentance and a savior. Unfortunately Rev. Williams looks at the world, "gays and lesbians working in ministry" to draw his conclusions. That my friends is the last place one leading a church should seek God's truth. A more proper 'wholistic' approach as he puts it, would be God is King, God's is truth, God's word is the final authority. Lordship and obedience are not separate.

Judges Chapter 19:22
While they were celebrating, behold, the men of the city, certain worthless fellows, surrounded the house, pounding the door; and they spoke to the owner of the house, the old man, saying, "Bring out the man who came into your house that we may have relations with him." 23 Then the man, the owner of the house, went out to them and said to them, "No, my fellows, please do not act so wickedly; since this man has come into my house, do not commit this act of folly.24 "Here is my virgin daughter and his concubine. Please let me bring them out that you may ravish them and do to them whatever you wish. But do not commit such an act of folly against this man."25 But the men would not listen to him. So the man seized his concubine and brought her out to them; and they raped her and abused her all night until morning, then let her go at the approach of dawn.

She is brutally raped all night, and left for dead.

27 When her master arose in the morning and opened the doors of the house and went out to go on his way, then behold, his concubine was lying at the doorway of the house with her hands on the threshold.28 He said to her, "Get up and let us go,"but there was no answer. Then he placed her on the donkey; and the man arose and went to his home.29 When he entered his house, he took a knife and laid hold of his concubine and cut her in twelve pieces, limb by limb, and sent her throughout the territory of Israel.30 All who saw it said, "Nothing like this has ever happened or been seen from the day when the sons of Israel came up from the land of Egypt to this day. Consider it, take counsel and speak up!"

I would ask the same today. Consider the utter depravity, wickedness, and sexual unholiness we accept today in complete silence. In fact, many celebrate it, just as Rev Williams does. This is a clear Biblical warning of where we will find ourselves when we allow false teachers into our churches and live our lives like the final verse of this story:

Judges Chapter 21:
25 In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his
own eyes.

Perhaps Rev Williams should remember Jephthah's tragic vow

How often do we think we are doing right in the eyes of God, when in fact we are nothing but paganized Christians making a mockery of God's will? Making idols of the world's wisdom? Proclaiming Christ when it suits are needs, or denying and editing His word so that it fits our modern paganized worldviews?

'Interactive Team-Building Seminar' Called Cutting-Edge Way of Learning'

For those unacquainted with the term 'Diaprax', it is simply another word for the Hegelian Dialectic or consensus process -- a deceitful procedure designed to bring about change through conflict and compromise that was conceived in the late 1700's by transformational Marxist, Georg Wilhelm Fredric Hegel who sought, as occult-led globalists do to this day, ‘unity in diversity' – a term many of us became familiar with under the Clinton Administration. Diaprax, a word coined by author and teacher Dean Gotcher, essentially brings together people of diverse and often opposing backgrounds, worldviews and belief systems in hopes they will forfeit their own values, traditions and absolutes for the emotional rewards of group acceptance.

The goal of Diaprax in the church is to rid the flock of its pesky and divisive hang-ups and habits that impede unity and change – personal convictions and restrained behaviors that are based on Biblical truth rather than political correctness, pragmatism and personal taste. Diaprax is a truth-silencing technique that covertly promotes humanist ideals and a reciprocating brotherly love known in the Greek as 'phileo' through imagery (arts/media) and conversation (opinion/dialog) at the expense of the more Godly, obedient, self-sacrificing, truthful and unworldly 'love-your-enemy' kind of love called 'agape' – the kind of love that drove the Apostle Paul to speak the bitter truth about sinful man from the chains of a dark and lonely prison; the kind of love that caused Stephen to cry out: "lay not this sin to their charge" as the angry crowd stoned him to death for his cutting words of conviction; and what moved the Lord Jesus Himself to say as He hung on a cross for the sins of the world: "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do."

Those who GO along to GET along, the cowardly essence of Diaprax, are rewarded with the 'phileo' love of tolerance and flattery. Those who courageously challenge the consensus are shamed, ridiculed or rejected for their 'hateful' attitude', 'mean-spiritedness' and 'ungodly' disruption of the group's 'purpose-driven' unity.

Words you WON’T see in the article are God, Jesus Christ, cross, sin, rebellion, repentance, confession, forgiveness, grace, mercy, wisdom, love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance, the Holy Spirit, edification, sanctification, glorification or even salvation. Why? -- Because this 'model of things to come for teaching in our churches' is not about the Gospel of Christ. It is about avoiding it at all costs.

"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." – 2nd Timothy 4:3-4

The Human Right's Campaign's (HRC) dirty laundry

Well, well, well.
The U.S. Senate aide arrested for arranging a three-way with an undercover informant and who he thought was a 13-year-old male was previously an employee with the Human Rights Campaign, the nation’s largest GLBT rights group. Mike McHaney, 28, was fired from his job as a scheduler for Democratic Sen. Maria Cantwell of Washington state within hours his arrest for attempting to sexually exploit a minor.

McHaney, who remains in federal custody without bond at least until a hearing tomorrow, was arrested by FBI agents after showing up to meet a cooperating witness and the fictional teen. Before that, McHaney worked on the 2004 presidential campaigns of Democrats John Kerry and Richard Gephardt.

Brad Luna, an HRC spokesperson, confirmed that McHaney worked as an executive scheduler for the D.C.-based gay rights group from September 2005 to May 2006.

McHaney's arrest, first reported by, was the result of an FBI sting operation launched after a cooperating witness who claimed to have traded child pornography with McHaney approached police. The informant then asked McHaney during an online chat if he would be interested in anal sex with a 13-year-old male. "I'll be there," he allegedly replied.

Court documents filed by police also indicate McHaney asked the informant to send him photographs of the teen, and asked if he had "any pubes." When told he didn't, McHaney allegedly replied, "That's hot."

Interesting. This is reminiscent of another out and proud activist's interest in young boys Nelson Garica of NG blog. No, not all 'gays' are pedophiles, but Satan is certainly never satisfied with just one camp fire in ones mind.

There is the public face the HRC & the gay christian movement, and the there is the dark hidden side.

Side A is an intoxicating mix of feel good philosophy, promises of safety, well placed cultural platitudes, and a religious veneer bathed in the coating of false love. This is the gay christian movement’s public face. Side B, the one intentionally hidden from public view, is an agressive mix of pride, arrogance, vulgarity, vengeance, and lust. This is the gay christian movement’s private face.

The Gay Left cabal must be close to a complete meltdown. After all, for three years they have been criminalizing and personally punishing gay Americans for merely not towing the liberal political line on gay policy issues.

One has to ask the following question, since it was repeated ad nauseum during the Mark Foley affair: Who knew and/or enabled Mike McHaney’s alleged child sex predatory activities?

Mike Meehan, Sen. Cantwell’s chief of staff, worked with McHaney at Kerry 2004 HQ. Did Meehan bring McHaney along to Cantwell’s office? What does Meehan know about McHaney’s history and when did he know it?

And do McHaney and Lane Hudson — revealer of all things Mark Foley – know each other? After all, they both worked for the HRC, John Kerry for President and Rep. Rodney Alexander. It stretches the imagination to think Hudson and McHaney don’t know each other. If so, what does Hudson know about McHaney’s child sex predatory ways?

Why the silence and secrecy?

Jude 4: For certain persons have crept in unnoticed, those who were long beforehand marked out for this condemnation, ungodly persons who turn the grace of our God into licentiousness and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

Continuing to Fight the War on Error

The following is adapted from John MacArthur's book, The Truth War (Spring, 2007).

What is truth? We began this book with that question, and my earnest hope is that the answer would be clear: Truth is not any individual's opinion or imagination. Truth is what God decrees. And He has given us an infallible source of saving truth in His revealed Word.

For the true Christian, this should not be a complex issue. God's Word is what all pastors and church leaders are commanded to proclaim, in season and out of season--when it is well received and even when it is not (2 Timothy 4:2). It is what every Christian is commanded to read, study, meditate on, and divide rightly. It is what we are called and commissioned by Christ to teach and proclaim to the uttermost parts of the earth.

Is there mystery even in the truth God has revealed? Of course. " 'For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,' says the LORD" (Isaiah 55:8). In 1 Corinthians 2:16, Paul paraphrased Isaiah 40:13-14: "Who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?"

But then Paul immediately added this: "We have the mind of Christ." Christ has graciously given us enough truth and enough understanding to equip us for every good deed--including the work of earnestly contending for the faith against deceivers who try to twist the truth of the gospel. Although we cannot know the mind of God exhaustively, we certainly can know it sufficiently to be warriors for the cause of truth against the lies of the kingdom of darkness.

And we are commanded to participate in that battle. God Himself sounded the call to battle when His Spirit moved Jude to write his short epistle and it permanently entered the canon of Scripture. This is not a duty any faithful Christian can shirk. Earthly life for the faithful Christian can never be a perpetual state of ease and peace. That's why the New Testament includes so many descriptions of the Christian life as nonstop warfare: Ephesians 6:11-18; 2 Timothy 2:1-4; 2 Timothy 4:7; 2 Corinthians 6:7; 10:3-5; 1 Thessalonians 5:8. Those unwilling to join the fight against untruth and false religion are no true friends of Christ.

The handful of vignettes from church history we have examined together in this book are only a brief introduction to how the Truth War has been fought over the past two millennia. Look at any period of church history and you will discover this significant fact: Whenever the people of God have sought peace with the world or made alliances with false religions, it has meant a period of serious spiritual decline, even to the point where at times the truth seemed almost to be in total eclipse. But whenever Christians have contended earnestly for the faith, the church has grown and the cause of truth has prospered. May it be so in our time.

In other words, the Truth War is a good fight (1 Timothy 6:12). So let's wage good warfare (1 Timothy 1:18)--for the honor of Christ and the glory of God.
