How many folks would respond to an altar call that said “Come follow Jesus - you'll probably lose most of your friends, some of your family, your reputation, money, career, and possibly even your life”?
Such a call is exactly what Jesus meant when He said, “Take up your cross and follow Me” - Not the ordinary burdens we ALL carry in our lives.
